Christine E. Reinhard and Jason E. Pirruccello presented on the topic, “Employee Free Choice Act: Dead, Alive, or Does it Even Matter?” at the Schmoyer Reinhard Breakfast Briefing. The presentation focused on how the EFCA, if passed, would ease the unionization process for employees, potentially affecting a wide spectrum of employers. In addition, the Briefing touched on other expected labor law changes as a result of recent pro-labor appointments to the National Labor Relations Board and shed light on local union organization efforts. This Briefing provided guidance on several aspects of the National Labor Relations Act that apply to all employers, unionized or not, and insight into what employers can do in advance of the changes that may lie ahead.
