Christine E. Reinhard presented on the topic, “When the Troops Come Marching Home: Employer Obligations to our Armed Forces,” at the SAMA Employment Law Update.  The presentation focused on the new amendments to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the new Heroes Earnings Assistance and Relief Tax Act (HEART Act), and the Uniformed Service Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). In addition, the presentation addressed the new obligations imposed on employers of military personnel and related family members and covered details of the recently enacted amendments to the FMLA and the new HEART Act.
