Schmoyer Reinhard Announces National Certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise

Schmoyer Reinhard is pleased to announce that the firm has been nationally certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Certification was granted by the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance (WBEA) which uses rigorous standards and procedures as defined by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) to certify companies as WBEs.

“We are pleased to have been awarded certification as a WBE, and we look forward to working with WBENC and its member corporations, which have active supplier diversity programs,” stated Shannon B. Schmoyer, a founding partner of Schmoyer Reinhard LLP.

The certification is issued by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and used by companies that want to demonstrate their commitment to pursuing diversity initiatives, including the hiring of WBE legal counsel.  In order to meet the national criteria, a company must be at least 51% woman-owned, must operate independently, and must demonstrate a strong track record in experience, technical capabilities, and business competence.  The WBENC works with representatives of corporations to encourage the utilization and expansion of supplier/vendor diversity programs. It is a resource for the more than 700 US companies and government agencies that rely on the WBENC certification as an integral part of their supplier diversity programs.

“This certification will allow Schmoyer Reinhard LLP to more effectively market to and serve clients seeking women-owned business partners,” said Christine E. Reinhard, a founding partner of Schmoyer Reinhard LLP. “Gaining this distinction is part of our strategy of expanding our resources for clients.”
